Minnesota Public Schools 38% students live in poverty

Federal analysis found a shift to a majority low income student population in the Unites States Public Schools (grades Kindergarten through 12 grade)

This means that half of the students entering Kindergarten in the U.S. Begin their educational journey at a disadvantage.

51% of students in the U.S qualify for free or reduced lunch program. This is an indicator for poverty in the United States for families with children.

While the rate of students from low income families is on the rise, the economy has been improving.

While those at the top are doing well or Better, those at the bottom are doing worse.

In the state of Mississippi 3 out of every 4 students qualifies for free or reduced lunch program.
